Three basic exposure control modes in Program AE ("P"), Aperture Priority AE ("A") and Manual exposure control modes. Further, TTL OTF flash exposure control was also featured when artificial illumination is required. In particular with the Minolta X-700's Minolta Program System (MPS), it provides a simple focus-and-shoot simplicity of programmed auto-exposure (AE) control: where both aperture and shutter speed are automatically set over a wide range by the camera, with continuous viewfinder LED readout of speeds being set. I found out if no User's Manual is included you can download one for free from the Canon USA website as well as other places online. Not all sellers include batteries or a User's Manual. Check the Comments of the seller's listing. This camera does have both manual settings and auto settings but it is helpful to have a User's Manual to know how it's done with this camera. Just visit the Canon USA website to download a free manual. Please read the comments of each seller's posting as there might be different options or accessories included with their sale. Otherwise this sale is just for the camera body and 35-80 lens combo. CR123 Battery required unless otherwise noted by the seller. With a dimension and weight of 145mm x 92mm x 62 mm, 370g, it is more compact and lighter than the comparing predecessor (EOS-1000FN/Rebel SII's 148mm x 100mm x 69mm and weighs 470g). The camera remains as an entry level AF-SLR. Many of the features embodied were carefully being chosen to be included in its features list. The basic business objective for the Rebel XS is to provide an affordable, compact, lightweight Auto and Manual SLR to attract potential first time user to select Canon as their base system.
